Join the MHS as a First Year Rep
Every year, the MHS welcomes two First Year students who are elected by their peers, to serve as First Year Reps on the MHS. For more details about the role or if you’re interested in nominating yourself, download the Nomination Form below!
In order to run for any of our elected positions, including First Year Rep, one must be a full-time Humanities undergraduate student.
Each candidate must obtain the first and last names and student numbers of 15 full-time undergraduate Humanities students to support their nomination.
Nominations for First Year Rep will be accepted from Thursday, September 26th until Tuesday, October 1st @ 6:00 PM!
All applicants will be invited to complete a When2Meet to schedule the mandatory All-Candidates (ACM) meeting after they email their completed Nomination Form to mhs.president@machumsociety.com.
All candidates will receive confirmation of the ACM date/time via email on October 1st.
Tenatively, the timeline for the FYR Election Period is as follows:
Nominations accepted from Thursday, September 26th - Tuesday, October 1st at 5:00 PM.
Campaign Period from Wednesday, October 2nd - Sunday, October 6th (inclusive).
Voting Period from Monday, October 7th to Tuesday, October 8th (inclusive).
