NEW! MERCH COORDINATOR (1)
If you are passionate about representing Humanities pride, consider applying for this position! Working alongside the President, the Merch Coordinator will be responsible for the Mac Hum merch initiative - this includes determining merch designs and coordinating with the Campus Store and/or external providers to select merchandise items (i.e. sweaters, hats, socks, etc.). Because this is a new role, there is a lot of flexibility - the role is what you make it! You are encouraged to bring your own design ideas or creative vision, hold a design contest or submission open to all Mac Hum students, do a combination, or more!
Marketing Team
Graphic designers report to the VP of Marketing and will be involved with designing graphics to promote MHS initiatives and events. This role includes, but is not limited to: making posters, designing story posts, and curating feed posts. Graphics will be used across the MHS Instagram and Facebook accounts. Photoshop and/or Canva experience is an asset.
The website designer will report to the VP of Marketing and be expected to keep the MHS website up-to-date to reflect the society's events and initiatives that happen throughout the year. This role includes, but is not limited to: ensuring the website reflects current MHS events and initiatives, and managing the layout of the website. Experience with web designer software, Photoshop/Canva and/or Squarespace is an asset.
As the photographer, you will report to the VP of Marketing and be responsible for attending and photographing MHS in-person events and initiatives throughout the year. The photographer will be responsible for documenting MHS events by taking high-quality photographs to be used in MHS social media promotions

Social & Formal Committee Members (6-8)
The MHS Social & Formal Committee focuses on running events catered towards undergraduate humanities students on behalf of the broader MHS. These include the Welcome Bonfire Event, the annual formal and stress relievers. Members of the formal committee will assist the VP Operations in planning, promoting and executing activities throughout the year.
Mentorship Initiative Coordinators (2)
If you are passionate about improving the first-year experience and ensuring that first-years enjoy their transition into university, the Humanities Mentorship Initiative Coordinator volunteer position is perfect for you! As the Mentorship Coordinator, you would be responsible for hiring a team of upper-year mentors from late August to early September and planning and executing mentorship events for our first-year mentees and their mentors throughout the 2019/2020 school year. In this role, you would work closely with the VP of Academics who will act as the liaison between you and the MHS throughout the year to help implement and promote your mentorship event ideas and get as much student involvement as possible.
External Peripheral TeaM
As the Wellness Coordinator, you will report to the VP of External Affairs and be responsible for incorporating a health and wellness lens within the MHS and promoting wellbeing practices across our social media channels. Examples of this include but are not limited to the creation of Wellness Wednesday posts which focus on physical and mental wellbeing and the hosting of periodic wellness events or initiatives alongside other members of the MHS.
Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Coordinators (2)
As the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, you will report to the VP of External Affairs. You will be responsible for using the MHS socials as an outlet to share resources and supports that promote inclusivity and respect of all students - despite varying sexual orientations, identities, beliefs, cultures, or opinions. This will require researching external sources that can be used to educate and bring awareness to our student body about pertinent issues that are restricting the freedom and/or respect of certain groups, and what students can do to help.
NEWSLETTER TEAM
1x Newsletter Designer & 1-2x Content Managers
This team will be composed of (1) newsletter designers and (1-2) content managers who will work closely alongside the VP of Administration to produce Navy News. Click here for previous editions - note that 2020/2021 was the inaugural year of Navy News. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent, meet new people, and gain professional experience.
